Trim Levels (Exterior)
Kia provides you with many choices for your new Kia K5 and the LXS is the entry-level choice. The four trims include LXS, GT-Line, EX, and GT, with the GT-Line offering FWD and AWD varieties. With sleek lines and an array of bold paint choices, the vehicle's exterior design stands out. The K5 comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights, while the performance-enhanced GT trim adds black 19-inch alloy wheels and a sport-tuned suspension.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of the 2023 Kia K5, you'll find one of two engines. A 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 180 horsepower. The available 2.5-liter turbo-four engine found on the top-of-the-line GT trim cranks out 290 horsepower. Models with the base engine are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the larger engine is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. For an additional level of assurance, opt for the available all-wheel-drive system.
Performance

Interior
With room enough for five people, the 2023 K5 offers comfortable seating as well as plenty of legroom and headroom, thanks to a sloping roofline. The vehicle's cargo area, which offers 16 cubic feet of space, is larger than other vehicles in its class. Thanks to a low liftover height, standard 60/40-split folding seats, and a large trunk opening, you can easily load larger items into the trunk. Another convenient feature is the standard hands-free power trunk lid.
Its standard 8-inch touchscreen display has a well-organized menu layout, quick response time, and sharp graphics. It includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, but wired connections are required for those two functions if your K5 has the larger 10.25-inch display. A few of the other standard technology features include voice recognition and four USB ports, while upper trims include wireless device charging, navigation, additional USB ports, and satellite radio.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Kia K5 has almost a dozen driver-assistance features, some of which include forward automatic emergency braking, driver-attention monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear-seat reminder. Several add-on features are also available, including a surround-view parking camera system, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, and reverse automatic emergency braking.
